LDG Accounting 2025 Wrap Up: Growth, Compliance, Software Wins and What’s Next

Numbers and Nonsense

LDG's 2025

Before you start seeing people make their New Year's Resolution I will get in first (?) with the traditional LDG year end wrap up.

What have we done here at LDG this year?

LDG is still a family business in that my Daughter is still queen of the "sidegig" while she studies. In moving LDG to be more than a "one person band" and in line with BAS agents needing to have a QMS by 1/7/2025 we have developed a Contingency plan that means I have both a fellow Bookkeeping Practice Owner and a fellow business owner ready to take the "reins" should anything less than ideal pop up.

I am still working closely with three bookkeeping firms to help out with projects, holiday coverage and just to make deadlines work. This arrangement works both ways and means all "firms" involved will continue to support each other in as many ways as needed to prioritise our clients' needs. All firms involved as BAS agents so obviously we have set up processes to maintain the integrity of all our collective works.

With an extra year of stability in terms of processes and employees we are well placed to grow so referrals are welcome please (and also get you 10% discount).

Implementations and software are what really fill my cup as most of you know so this year's count is 8 implementations altogether….. Wow and thanks! This was made up of 5 payroll implementations, 1 HR one Xero implementation done. If you're quick on your maths that adds to 7 implementations with the 8th being both HR and payroll combined.

Of that 8 there are still 2 to be completed in the Early New Year. So again LDG will be looking to get stuck into some new projects.

Because of the TPB putting some updated conditions on BAS Agent registration (QMS mentioned above and more) this year has been pretty hectic on the admin and procedures front. This means very little to you the client but will hopefully assure you that LDG is strong and compliant for the near future.

And I already have some software discoveries booked for the New Year so hoping to add some product depth to our repertoire. Stay tuned for some tasty blogs on that.

Don't forget to subscribe to my blog so you don't miss out on any new information or quick tips.

Happy to have a chat on any of these topics in relation to your small business or bookkeeping in general but mostly thanks for a great 2025 year and onwards and upwards…
