You all know I love Employment Hero but mainly because it gives Aussie businesses a REAL solution to a payroll platform that eliminates work. So when Tanda announced it was doing payroll on the platform I knew my "software agnostic" term was about to be tested…

So now I have done the demo…


So now I need to encourage my clients needing more than basic payroll to consider Tanda here's why….

Award Interpretation

Award interpretation is one of the biggest payroll risk areas for SMEs. Tanda is designed to apply Modern Awards accurately, including:

  • Built-in Award allowances and penalty rates
  • Time and Attendance Hours (TAH) linked directly to shifts
  • Costing for salaried employees based on timesheets
  • Visual indicators to highlight compliance risks

Tanda doesn't have the Building and Construction Award yet but if I met a Building Business that follows the Award exactly I would probably die from shock. But here is the downside too. Tanda don't let you tweak the Award its the Award or custom rules that need to be written by Tanda's partner (you SME's just heard $$$$ Cha ching cha ching).

Not going to lie, the Rostering LOOKS GOOD… Tanda's rostering tools are tightly connected to payroll, helping businesses manage labour costs and compliance in real time.

  • Shift blocking to control costs or prevent breaches aka against Award Conditions as above or conditions you have set (like employee needs to have First Aid certificate)
